The Art Hunger is an artist-driven initiative dedicated to nurturing and showcasing local artists in Redding, CA. Through gallery exhibitions, events and collaborative projects, we transform spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity, fostering cultural growth and artistic expression. In partnership with Viva Downtown Redding, we provide a platform for artists to connect, share their work, and thrive.

MAY 2025
The Art Hunger Gallery is ready to kick off its 5th year at the historic IOOF. Hall in Downtown Redding.
Following a short break and a fresh coat of paint, we’re ready to welcome a new season of exhibitions, events, and artistic inspiration. This year, we’re making exciting improvements, introducing some changes, and, as always, bringing you lots of art!
Stay tuned for updates and join us as we continue to celebrate creativity and community in Redding.
Art in Bloom, an exhibition where art and botany intertwine transforming our gallery into a living celebration of nature’s beauty.

Starting in May, we're hosting an Open Drawing Night every second Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8pm.
Bring your own supplies and join us, all skill levels are welcome, no-instructor, free admission.

Join Leaf Argotti for a Crafty Swiftie Evening, this Saturday May 17 from 4:30 to 7 pm. You'll get to make as many bead bracelets as you want from 4:30 to 6 pm and then continue with a coloring session and trivia until 7pm, all while enjoying swiftie music and drinks for sale.
Admission: $25 per person.

CRAFTY SWIFTIE EVENING
TONI GAYLORD showcase at RIVERFRONT PLAYHOUSE
We're showcasing a new artist at Riverfront Playhouse just in time for the opening of TOHIDU, a stage play inspired by the Redding Rodeo and heroes of all kinds.
Check out the works of Toni Gaylord. She is based in Tehama County, and her works reflect a contemporary western aesthetic.

The Art Hunger is proud to partner with Viva Downtown Redding, a Main Street America Organization dedicated to the social, cultural, and economic development of Downtown Redding. This collaboration has been instrumental in bringing our vision to life and creating a vibrant arts community in the heart of the city.
